Our history

The history of Ideas Academy is a testament to the power of innovation and dedication in the field of education.

This institution's journey began in 2012 when a forward-thinking committee was formed with the goal of establishing an international school structure that would promote education for all. This visionary idea laid the foundation for a remarkable educational journey.

2012

Committee forms to create an international school structure promoting education for All.

2014

Ideas Academy opens with the first group of 24 students.

2016

First student group begins their 2 years Cambridge IGCSE O - Level pathway.

2018

First preparatory class opens to help students bridge the gap to year 7. First class graduates achieving a grade of B+ or higher.

2019

Major renovations projects take off to expand
facilities.

First coding camp.

2020

Covid-19 disrupts the world, Ideas Academy moves to virtual classes during MCO.

New structure combines virtual and physical classes. The complete curriculum remains intact, including coding classes.

As a refugee, I could never have imagined receiving a proper education. I could not even speak English fluently before enrolling in school, but I can now do so without any difficulty. In addition to teaching us academic and practical skills relevant to our fields of study, the school also helps us develop our speaking abilities. I chose Ideas Academy because the teachers are kind and always supportive and guiding their students. The curriculum is also excellent; the coursework is rigorous, and there are many extracurricular opportunities, such as PE, arts, crafts, and dance. When I first arrived at Ideas, I wasn’t able to speak English fluently, which made me shy to talk with teachers and students. However, my classmates and teachers encouraged me to speak up and guided me in every way to become a good student. I learned to be passionate, disciplined, and responsible at Ideas.
